Join Ed and Sinead for a Yoga retreat like no other. 5 days taking a deep dive into Yoga and it’s many practices.

This retreat will be full of Yoga and meditation practice plus extra theory, history and philosophy.

Have you just completed a Yoga Teacher Training course and you’re looking to solidify your knowledge? Are you considering Teacher Training and just not sure if you know enough to commit? Or are you simply looking to gain extra knowledge and truly deepen your Yoga practice?

What's Included

We will stay at a favourite place of ours in Dartmoor. Surrounded by beautiful countryside you will practice, eat and sleep in absolute comfort. Hit the arrow to the right to discover what's included.

Whether you are coming along with friends, a loved one or flying solo, there are wonderful accommodation options to suit everyone’s needs.

It’s your choice if you would like to have your own room with or without ensuite facilities. Or if you will be joining us with a friend, a family member of a loved one, we have double, twin and even triple options for you to choose from.

Every room is lovingly decorated individual from the rest. And although you will be likely to spend most of your time out of your room practicing Yoga, studying, reading or taking walks, we know for sure you will be very pleased with your accommodation.

Read below for everything included in the cost of the retreat:

  • 5 nights accommodation.
  • 2 x 2 hour physical Yoga sessions each day. 1 on the day we leave.
  • Daily meditation practice.
  • Optional early morning Kriya practice.
  • Optional afternoon Yoga workshops. These will be a mixture of philosophy or movement based workshops.
  • All day access to 2 glorious practice studios, perfect for sunrise meditations and evening relaxations.
  • Hearty brunch and dinner every day (dinner on arrival day and brunch on the last day). You won’t go hungry!
  • Complimentary tea, coffee and healthy, tasty snacks available throughout the day.

All meals are vegetarian with a lot of vegan options, if you have any other specific dietary requirements we are more than happy to cater for them. Please let us know as soon as you book in if you do have dietary requirements.

The Yoga

This retreat will be lead by two of our Lead Instructors, Ed Wood and Sinead Duncan. Ed is the founder of Yogafurie Academy Teacher Training and Sinead can often be found teaching on our 200 Hour Teacher Training courses.

Ed, founder of Yogafurie Academy Yoga & Hot Yoga Teacher Training is both a senior Yoga Teacher and a humble Yoga student and practitioner. Always practicing and always studying, Ed can expertly teach different yoga styles in order that the students involved really can learn and experience what is being taught.

Sinead is an experienced Yoga Teacher with a passion for everything Yoga has to offer. She enjoys demystifying Yoga and delivering the practices and traditions an accessible way for all to discover.

On this retreat, you will be able to dive deeper into your knowledge and understanding of Yoga. If you’ve completed a Teacher Training course, it’s a fantastic way to reaffirm your knowledge and gain a deeper understanding.

Each morning will begin with optional Kriya practice. 3 extremely useful cleansing practices outlined in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, a classic 15th century Sanskrit manual on Hatha Yoga.

This is then followed by 2 hours asana practice. Expect this to be dynamic, creative, challenging and fun!

Each morning practice is then rounded off with a 1 hour meditation practice.

We break for a hearty brunch, and a little time to rest.

Mid-afternoon Ed or Sinead will offer an optional workshop for you to attend. This could range from movement based practice, to theory, history, extra meditations – anything! You will receive details closer to the time of retreat.

In the later afternoon we all gather together again for a 2 hour physical practice. Expect this to be something more soothing and conducive to winding us down from the day. Yin, restorative, slow flow, Yoga Nidra practices.

We then enjoy a tasty dinner and an evening off to enjoy however you wish!

Staying Safe

Us and our wonderful hosts are undertaking every effort and measure possible in order to keep you safe and healthy whilst you enjoy your retreat.

You can rest assured that this location, Yogafurie staff and other guests will all be following all guidelines when it comes to safety.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Follow all social distancing guidelines, including a strict limitation on how many guests can attend
  • Clean the studios before and after every session
  • Ensure there is a fresh air supply whilst practicing to keep you safe
  • The house and bedrooms are cleaned above and beyond the COVID secure standard
  • All guidelines that will be in place at this time of year will be diligently followed, your safety is our number one priority. 

What else can I do?

Where we are staying is surrounded by countryside and a babbling brook. There are many walking routes you can take. Others choose to journal, read or catch up on extra rest.

Let this be your time, just for you.

You can take part in as much Yoga as you wish, and in your time off, you can listen to what you want to do!

How to get here

Travel isn't included in the cost of the retreat. Heading to Dartmoor is possible by train, public transport and by car.

We can offer all information at time of booking or you may request this ahead of booking if necessary. If it is safe to do so (depending on current covid guidelines at the time), we promote car pooling on our retreats so please let us know if you do not have a mode of transport or are looking for someone to share petrol costs with. Of course this will depend on what’s safe to do by May 2021.


Whether travelling solo, or staying with a friend or loved one, you're sure to find the perfect accommodation options for your retreat. No matter which option you choose, all accommodation, meals and Yoga are included in the price.

Have your own room or share with someone. If you would like to book yourself some extra space and privacy with a twin room all to yourself, that’s an option too! On top of that you can choose to share bathroom or add extra comfort by booking an ensuite.

Booking and Payment

You can pay the entire price in one. Or you can pay in two stages – a deposit of £350 secures your booking, and then the full balance must be paid by April 17th 2022.

If you need to cancel your deposit, it is non-refundable. If you paid the entire amount upfront and you cancelled more than 1 month before the event, then 50% is not refundable. If for whatever reason you do need to cancel, then simply contact us.
