Summer Yoga Holiday in Cyprus
Join Yogafurie in Cyprus in 2023...
19th – 26th June 2023
Aphrodite Beach Hotel, Chrysochous, Cyprus
Yogafurie is returning to this gorgeous destination in June 2023. We discovered its beauty and charm on our first visit. The resort combines a dedicated practice space with all the comforts of a modern hotel, and it’s right next to a quiet and secluded beach. The water is warm and clear, and a bright sun rises over the bay each morning. It really is the perfect destination to blend strong practice with relaxation, in the company of like-minded Yoga friends. Join Yogafurie at this magical spot in Cyprus, right on the doorstep of Akamas Peninsula National Park.

What's Included
- 7 nights accommodation.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Meals are provided for all eaters! You will find a great range of vegetarian food and vegan options. If you have any other specific dietary requirements let us know.
- 2 physical Yoga sessions each day (one on the arrival and departure days).
- Optional early morning meditations on some days.
- Optional extra daytime/ late evening Yoga workshops on some days.

The Yoga
You’ll discover new ways to approach the physical practice of Yoga, along with meditation and breath practices to help you reflect on and integrate your new learning. Students often find something new that can benefit everyday life.
A typical day starts at 5AM (optional!) for early morning reflective practice on the beach, under the stars. It's really not at all cold, even at that time! There is no light pollution and the stars are beautiful. After a short break, breath and mediation practice (also optional) follows while the sun rises over the bay. We take a longer break: some people swim in the warm waters, others take a bite of breakfast before we hold our morning asana practice together. We finish in time for a hearty lunch.
Students might spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, or enjoying the sights. There are tours and watersports available locally. We then join together again for early evening asana practice. Then it's time for dinner, and on some evenings we round off with relaxing Yoga Nidra (again optional).

HIKING / RAMBLING
Akamas is a unique area, both geologically and geographically and with regard to Flora and Fauna. Almost all the geological formations of Cyprus can be found here, resulting in a real geological mosaic. For this reason, the Akamas peninsula is endowed with a unique biodiversity, habitats and ecosystems.
DISCOVER NATURE AND WILDLIFE ON YOUR DOORSTEP
Many Akamas visitors are nature lovers. In the Akamas Peninsula no less than approximately 530 different plant species grow, not to mention the world wide known orchids. The variety of fauna is equally impressive with its 168 birds, 12 mammals, 20 reptiles and 16 butterfly species that have been sighted in the area. The famous Baths of Aphrodite is both the start and the end of the two self guided nature trails on the Akamas.
HIRE A BIKE TO VENTURE FURTHER
You can cross this natural beauty via bicycle!
SWIM AND KAYAK TO EXPLORE THE SEA
The clear turquoise and calm waters of the sea in the area, make it perfect for swimming or kayaking.
VISIT THE LOCAL TAVERNS AND SHOPS
Only 3 minutes away by car is Latchi harbour where you will find a variety of taverns and shops. Latchi with its coastal boardwalk is the picturesque harbour of Polis, known throughout Cyprus for its fresh fish. In the past it served as a small port for shipping carobs. The old stone carob warehouses have been converted into restaurants, fish taverns and places for recreation.
SNOKELLING AND EXPLORING FURTHER
From Latchi you can take a boat to Fontana Amoroza or the Blue Lagoon and spend the day snorkeling in the clear turquoise water. A further 5 minutes along the road will take you to Polis Chrysochous on the boardwalk by the sea, here you can take a walk in the Eucalyptus forest down by the beach or visit one of the archaeological sights.
