The Course In More Detail

There’s been a lot of hype about Hot Yoga in the past. But behind the hype, there are real and demonstrable benefits that people experience. We’ll spend a while talking about the truth behind the hype, and what you and your students can expect from a Hot Yoga practice.

Hot Yoga continues to grow because it works. That means there’s a whole new community of dedicated practitioners to connect and share your skills with. And if you’re based more rurally, you’ll be bringing an innovative and modern practice to your district.

As teachers, we are always looking to grow and to challenge ourselves. Your existing skills can be invigorated and used in a whole new way, when you upskill to Hot Yoga. It’s a new exploration that makes the most of who you already are.

There are lots of Yoga teachers, but few are qualified to teach in heat. More and more studios want to use warmth, so your new skills could be in demand. Teaching Hot Yoga is often better paid.

Yogafurie Academy has been training a new generation of Yoga and Hot Yoga teachers in Bristol for some years now. We host the only Yoga and Hot Yoga teacher training available in the south outside of London, and it’s very successful. Most of our graduates go on to teach, many with us at the studio. You can read some of their comments and feedback on our website. Yogafurie Academy has a proven track record, and we will bring all of our knowledge, stability and reliability to your course experience with us.

Also included in the course:

  • What are the real benefits of using heat?
  • Using Yoga equipment and giving adjustments in heat
  • Cleanliness and hygiene in a hot environment
  • Self-care: hydration and diet
  • Responding to students and possible heat-related issues
  • Adapting strength of practice, pace, and mood to different temperatures
  • Practice teaching at different temperatures

You’ll also join in three Hot Yoga classes as a student. These will be different styles and at two different temperatures.

You’ll gain 24 hours to register towards your CPD with Yoga Alliance upon successful completion.
